Nella notte si sono svolti i Grammy Awards 2017, 59esima edizione dei premi più importanti della musica internazionali. È stato un trionfo assoluto per Adele, che ha guadagnato riconoscimenti sia per il suo album 25 che per il singolo Hello. Vediamo più nel dettaglio i vincitori.

La star assoluta dei Grammy Awards è stata Adele. Allo Staples Center di Los Angeles, la cantante britannica ha ricevuto 5 riconoscimenti per Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Performance e Best Pop Vocal Album. Sconfitta la “rivale” Beyoncé che si è aggiudicata due premi per Best Urban Contemporary Album e Best Music Video. Adele, però, si è lasciata a dichiarazioni di stima nei confronti dell’ex cantante delle Destiny’s Child: “Beyoncé, il tuo album Lemonade è monumentale”.

L’artista londinese ha anche ricordato George Michael esibendosi in una versione imperfetta (si è poi scusata) ed emozionata di Fastlove. Tantissimi gli omaggi nei confronti degli artisti scomparsi nel 2016: Bruno Mars e i Time si sono esibiti in una performance di Jungle Love, The Bird e Let’s Go Crazy in onore di Prince; John Legend invece ha omaggiato tutti gli artisti scomparsi nell’ultimo anno con una versione al piano di God Only Knows dei Beach Boys.

Altre performance meritevoli sono state sicuramente quelle di The Weeknd insieme ai Daft Punk con I Feel it Coming; una Lady Gaga versione heavy metal si è esibita insieme ai Metallica con il singolo della band Moth into Flame; Beyoncé – presentata sul palco dalla madre e mostrando per la prima volta in pubblico il pancione (l’artista è in attesa di due gemelli) – ha cantato Love Drought e Sandcastles; Katy Perry invece ha presentato live il suo nuovo singolo Chained to the Rhythm.

Durante la serata sono stati premiati anche David Bowie (con cinque Grammy postumi), la rivelazione dell’anno Chance the Rapper (che si è portato a casa Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance e Best Rap Album), il producer australiano Flume (Best Dance Album), i Cage the Elephant (Best Rock Album) e Solange (Best R&B Performance per la sorella minore di Beyoncé).

A bocca asciutta Rihanna e i dissidenti Kanye West e Justin Bieber, che i giorni scorsi si erano indignati – insieme al collega Drake – per l’esclusione di Frank Ocean e del suo acclamatissimo Blonde definendo i Grammy come “roba per vecchi”. Anche la piccola delegazione italiana composta da Laura Pausini (candidata per Best Latin Pop Album), Andrea Bocelli (per Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album) e Ennio Morricone (nominato per la colonna sonora di The Hateful Eight di Quentin Tarantino e per Best Instrumental Composition con The Last Stage to Red Rock sempre per The Hateful Eight) non ha ricevuto alcum premio.
